Writing Your eBook

How Do You Start Writing An e-Book?

The hardest part of writing an e-book is starting. And there are two reasons most people don’t start:

  1. They don't know how to begin
  2. They don't know what to do

To help you with both, we've organized all the information and writing articles you need to help you write your ebook. And it's free.

"Knowledge Download's software is amazing. With Skip's patient guidance, any budding author can create an ebook and set up his or her promotional ebook web site.

Dr Bryan Knight, author of "How To Hypnotize Friends, Lovers and Even Strangers."

Editing Your eBook

Writing the book is just the first act. The second act is polishing your text by editing it for clarity and style. A few things to consider:

  • Use 1.5 spacing between lines of text
  • Keep paragraphs to 4 sentences or less if you can
  • Try to include charts, graphs and pleasing graphics to break up text
  • Make sure you check spelling and grammar
  • Create a cover/title page, table of contents
  • Ensure that you have your chapters set up in a logical sequence
  • Consider including an index and bibliography (if you reference other sources)

Knowledge Download guides you through this process, too, with plenty of free resources and tools.

"Using Knowledge Download to set up my ebook website gave me the tools to get my website online and functional the same day, without a lot of hassle and without having any website programming knowledge. It was easy and even included all the tools needed to link to a payment site.
