Steve Mullen Ph.D. has over 45 years experience working with high technology.

Prior to founding Digital Video Consulting, he was the Managing Director of PictureTel Japan; Director Asia/Pacific/Americas sales for PictureTel Corporation; and Director of BBN Advanced Supercomputers Inc., Japan.

Preceding these assignments, he was the Distributor Manager for Asia/Pacific/Americas Marketing and Sales for MASSCOMP Realtime Computers; and a Product Marketing Manager for DATA TRANSLATION (parent of Media 100). He was also International Sales Manager for Play, the creator of the world famous Trinity.

He began his career, after teaching at the University of Minnesota and Carleton College, at DIGITAL EQUIPMENT CORPORATION (DEC) where he was a Seminar Development Manager, R&D Systems Engineer, and a Product Manager.

For over a decade he was a Contributing Editor for Video Systems magazine. He has also written for Adobe Premiere Newsletter, A/V Video, Camcorder, DV, Etown.com, millimeter, The Perfect Vision, Video Pro, and Video Review. He now writes for Broadcast Engineering.

Steve taught digital video production at Rutgers University and Electronic Cinematography at the University of the Arts. And, at Harvestworks in NYC, he taught Media 100 editing.

For more than a decade, Digital Video Consulting has provided consulting services, training, and seminars on digital video production.

He has written a number of Digital Production Guides, including imMEDIAte 100 for the Media 100, the Premiere Primer (Adobe Premiere), Express Xpress DV (Avid), and the highly successful Panasonic AG-DVX100A Production Guide.
