Favorite Web Site Of The Week

This week you are getting a ‘two-fer’; two sites for the price of one!

One of the great inventions that came with the Internet many years ago was free fax numbers. Most of those providers have gone out of business.

Since we have many Internet newcomers as Subscribers, I thought you might enjoy learning about a great provider of free inbound fax service who has not only survived the dot com fallout, but has thrived. Go here to check it out:

http://www.callwave.com/faxwave/

It works like this: sign up for a fax number. You receive your very own personal fax number. When someone sends you a fax, they scan it into an image format (.xif) and send it to your email box as an attachment.

.xif files can be ready by most Windows default image viewers. Alternatively you can find an image viewer named Pagis which does a great job too. You can find this viewer at

http://www.scansoft.com/

It’s the first one listed on their site.

Faxwave is a United States vendor and their numbers are in central California. However, since their service is email based, you can get your faxes at any email box worldwide.

You can have a fax number for your home/personal use, one to deliver faxes privately at your work, or any other combination you can think of.
