Commentary
This last week I had no less than a half dozen inquiries from authors or potential authors wanting to know the best way to package their manuscript.
The second big question that arose was about protecting the copyrights of their work in digital form. Several were published print authors who are venturing onto the Internet for the first time.

On the second topic, there are some expensive solutions to protecting your digital work. Some of the ebook compilers in the article I wrote now have some form of Digital Rights Management (DRM). DRM is a fancy way of saying protecting your copyrights.
DRM implemented by some of the ebook compiler vendors is pretty basic. They capture IP address and some even require Registration for each ebook. Many of the latest versions of ebook compilers now have login and password requirements.
Those solutions are under $300, which for those of you paranoid types, is pretty reasonable.
Full DRM solutions however, cost thousands of dollars and are generally oriented toward publishing corporations.
