Thanks to Steve...
Every Mac/HD7 user... It's worth buying his handbook. I purchased it about 2 weeks ago. Then I read something on the DVINFO forum (posted by Steve) that prompted me to review his section on iMovie08. His instructions work flawlessly. You WILL be so glad you bought this book. I have had so many second thoughts about getting the HD7. I bought it 1 hour after I discovered the announcement about iLife08 only to be extremely annoyed by lack of support for JVC HDD cams. Steve's work around is brilliant. (The main reason I joined this forum is to tell you all it's a worthwhile purchase!) Have I convinced you yet?? Cheers & happy importing!

Dear Mr. Mullin:
It was your posts on dvinfo (I think?) and apple's discussion boards that made me feel confident enough to buy the jvc 7. After reading your guide the quality of my video has greatly improved, and I'm very happy I got the jvc 7. Your guide's discussion of mpeg2, camera settings, and importing into iMovie all have just enough information that I feel I know enough, but not so much that I feel I'm reading a textbook. The guide was worth every penny, and I appreciate that someone with your level of knowledge is out there to clear up how things should be done. I read numerous books in bookstores and read innumerable online posts after buying the jvc 7, and finally bought your guide. Your guide is the missing manual to the jvc 7 - thanks million. You should really have JVC include it with every camera purchase. -bob

PS: I love the Shooting Guide I got from you! An Excellent reference and guide!
Thanks,

I brought your JVC GZ-HD7 Handbook, wich helped me very much, and I found your solution of importing the clips from the camera hd to iMovie08 simply brilliant: according to it there's no need of lenghty file conversion and the full quality of the clips is preserved, without any increase in file size, plus the skimming feature in iMovie08 works fine.
