Welcome
In 1988, I found myself alone in Okinawa, Japan raising three children under the age of six on my military E-5 income without child support or spousal support. I was left with all the bills to pay and could not risk losing my security clearance by not paying them. There were paydays when I had only $20 to feed my family for two weeks after I paid daycare and the other bills.
The recipes included here are ones that I prepared for my family of 4 when money was nonexistent or at least seemed that way. Most of these recipes are cheaper to make than purchasing 1 fast food meal and will feed at least 4 people.
I was prompted by my son Andy, who is now 21 years old, to write this cookbook now that he is grown and on his own. Since he is new to cooking and baking, I did include tips on shopping and cooking.
I hope you enjoy the recipes and that by using them you will have reduced stress in your life, more money in your wallet and a full tummy.
Yours truly,
Jaynine
